Sensei Benjamin Salerni took over running his school in 2019 after his teacher, Shihan Kenji Fujiwara, retired and moved back to Osaka, Japan. He began training under Shihan Fujiwara at the age of 4, at the time of taking over the dojo he had amassed 25 years experience training in Kyokushin Karate. In that time, he was a college athlete playing soccer for Bentley University outside of Boston and competed numerous times for karate at a world level. Most notably fighting in Tokyo, Japan on three occasions including one world tournament as well as winning the Mancini Cup in Canada. He continues to compete at a world level and has now transitioned to following his passion in helping young and adult Karate-kas learn and grow as martial artists.
